The Scottish Government through Transport Scotland are introducing a fares cap in the SPT travel area starting on Monday 7th September 2026. Officially the scheme runs until 31st March 2027, but it is currently expected to continue until at least May 2031.

Beginning on Monday 7th September all adult and child single fares on our services will be capped at a maximum of £2.00. Single fares currently below £2.00 will not change.

We will no longer be offering Day Return or 10-journey tickets after this date, but 10-journey tickets bought before 7th September will still be valid until all remaining journeys have been used up.

Adult day and 7-day tickets will still be available through the myTrip app but in many cases it will be cheaper using £2 single tickets.
